which one whouldi get. i already got the corkssport tp. i want the dp but i dont wanna deal with bad seals and smoking. im thinking the ets tmic? whatd u guys think??? which gives more power??

a dp wont mess up your seals!God does everyone think a dp will mess up the seal,if it smokes when you put a dp on then it was already messed up,,just the cat caught all the smoke.Id go with the dp

i kno it wont mess up the seals, i said i dont wanna deal with smoke and messed up seals. with dp do u think ill lose some bottom end power due to the loss of back pressure?

freeing up the exhaust is the next thing to do after an intake,mi buying a turboxs dp and rp this weel,i have a ms cai now

if you plan on doing the Cobb AP you'll be able to run the stage 2 off the shelf map too with intake + exhaust (even just downpipe dont need full TBE). TMIC would probably throw it off and you'd probably need to get custom tune

Bottom end power is gained by the turbo spooling up quickly, therefore you will not loose low end power with a downpipe. The least backpressure possible after the turbo is best. Pre turbo things are a little different, the gases need to keep thier speed; therefore if the manifold and uppipe are too large causing the gases to slow and lose heat, it will take longer to spool up.

It's funny that people don't want to "deal with" smoke. How else would you know if your turbo was faulty? Why wouldn't you want to know ASAP?

TMIC is removable in about 30 minutes or less if warranty work should arise. You're pretty much committed with the dp.

I would go with the top mount for the ease of install. I just did it on saturday and it took probably 30 minutes to put on. the gains are VERY noticeable. I was looking at the exhaust while I had the car up on a lift doing the oil change, and swapping exhaust parts looks like a pain. I'm sure you'd get nice gains from the downpipe also. that's my next goal.

ya ill eventually have both. and im not too concerned about my warranty cuz i gave my dealership a heads up about modding and they were cool with it. i have the rp in the mail so i guess i might as well get the dp and get the exhaust outta the way.

oh yeah if you're going to be dropping the exhaust anyway, you might as well knock it all out while you're down there.

I'd imagine they're exactly the same. I mean, how much variation can there be in welded and bent piping.

the main difference is going to be in the quality of construction and durability.

oh yeah and they use stock style donut flanges (dunno about TXS? their RP doenst tho)....so really it depends on what future plans you might have iwth the exhaust
