Looks like he put one right into his hip..Real smooth.
because it's always funny when it doesn't happen to oneself (screwy)t3ase said:anyway, why is watching a cop shoot himself funny in the first place?
t3ase said:eh, i still have a hard time believing he shot himself and i may be wrong. however, nobody, officer or otherwise, is going to suffer a gun shot wound, regardless of location, and continue to walk around and talk like nothing has happened.
most gun shot wounds, especially with that close of range, will cause quite a bit of blood after the initial physical shock wears off and the body realizes what's going on. the amount of time after the shot would allow his body to react and he'd definately not continue his speech. even more so because he's in a room full of kids.
anyway, why is watching a cop shoot himself funny in the first place? yeah, it was an accident and yeah he was just preaching about it being safe and what not but in no way does that make him a "tool" or make this video funny.

I work for the Goverment in the State of Georgia and I know for a fact that as a certified Law Enforcement officer that he should have never pulled that gun out. My question is if the woman said that the gun was clear then why was there a bullet in the camber? Did she just not know what to look for or what? And why in the hell did he pull the trigger. We are tought that you never pull the trigger unless you are ready to fire the gun to stop the threat, but anyway he should have never pulled the gun out and nothing like that would have ever happened. I somewhat feel sorry for the guy because he was trying to make a point about guns and violence and he was doing a real good job doing it, but he has now lost his job, it looked like he was from DEA which they make damn good money, and he will never be a police officer again. Once you lose your P.O.S.T certification it is really hard to get it back especially loosing it for something like that.
I completely agree with t3ase. Just because he made a stupid mistake doesn't mean that you have the right to call him names or anything like that. He has done his duties to protect you and try to stop the crime on the streets so that you can feel safe when you go to sleep at night! You should be thankful that he even had the ambition to try to talk to those kids about guns and violence, most police officers would rather just let those kids go ahead and screw up and lock them up later on down the road.
Sorry for such a long post but I get really angry when people just take things lightly and make fun of those who protect them. Those kids are our future and so far, with the attitudes that I have seen we might as well give up and throw in the towel.
That's exacly what I was thinking....ZeroAccess said:I wonder if it had a blank and he meant to do that.
Just to scare the kids, because they never mention anyone got shot or anything.

DocBoom said:Is irony funny? I dont know. I do know that this was definately funnier the second time I watched it though! And I'm sorry, but I think that this guy was a 'tool' on this specific occasion, but I sepeculate also that he is aswel a 'tool' on a day to day basis. His presentation skills were weak, his statements unintelligable. "Tupac, Fifty, Too Short talk about these", ah, excuse me but are you trying to endors these things or what?
This led creedence to the saying 'Those who can't do teach' and further perpetuated a few stereotypes in my mind, but in short: Reality made this scary; Irony made this funny....and I dont think I'll change my mind when I sober up!
