Cooling water lines for TB

I know that the cooling water runs through the Throtle body with those two black hoses. What is the point? It heats up the air coming in. I am trying to find out if anyone has tried bypassing this and sending it right back and is there any negative effects of doing this. The only thing i can see is mabey it is suppost to keep the valve warm and from sticking but that is it.

yep, its been done quiet a bit. the coolant is also used to defrost should the tb get stuck

this is also used when people turbo their proteges

So no negative side effects as long as it dose not freeze?

There was a big thread on this. I remember someone monitoring the temp and saw a big drop in intake temp. I could be totally making that up as it was a really long time ago.

I searched for a couple days and did not find anything. It should change the temp the question is how much?
