Coolant Catch Can

honestly...installation was easy... just plug and play...
mounting was easy too, I will post pics later.
I used new hose to connect center connector to radiator..and other one I just connected the stock hose so the overflow goes to the pavement
Matt, I'm sure you can do this.. :)

so is your setup coming from the bottom or do you have a straw? i dont have a straw yet, so i cant install it right away...what place is it leaking from exactly again?

ah... that's right you don't have the straw mod yet...
then it's different issue :)

oh ...yeah.. do you know where coolant level indicator is right and it is connected with top and bottom screwed into coolant can.
mine came with screws were bented... so instead of perfect ] shape, it is more like ) shape.

oh ok, mine looks pretty good in that respect...wonder what i could use to replace a straw so vic didnt have to send me s*** and waste his money.

Mattew, I got all the fittings already, I will do my best to ship you the fittings tomorrow. But since I got to work at 1:00pm it doesnt give me enough time to do them all.

Bijou, if you want to, send me yours back. They do have more blue ones, so I could get it exchanged. Is up to you. I didnt look at them since I just popped the top to put the tube. I guess I will look at these ones more closely. But if you want to exchange it, let me know.

vic, it's not that big of deal. I'm trying to find some sealer to seal them. They don't leak constantly, you know just drop by drop.
do you have any suggestion about sealer that will resist heat? :)
btw, like you told me hose clamp securely mounted bottle Thanks!!!

hey bijou,

the level indicator on the outside of mine's looke sort of like ) also. all i did was twist it. the black things twisted a tad, so instead of ), i now have I. just twist the black things that are connected to the brass connectors.

about your leak... did you make sure all your connections were properly tightened, per pirana's instruction? he said before you put coolant in it, you gotta tighten EVERYTHING down first. i'll let you know how mine's goes as soon as i do it.

Are your fittings cross-threaded? If thats the case, you might want to remove the fitting, and see if they go in straight. I'am looking at one right here, and thats about the only place I can see for a defect. Like I said, since I got to go and pick more of them, if you need it exchange, I dont think there is a problem. If you want to use a sealer, just use clear silicone. But I would remove the fitting to seal it better.

no, I don't want to bother you man.
this is just very small issue, so I will get clear silicone to seal.
however, I'm afraid I might break fitting and tube...

Tonka and others that havent installed your cans, might want to wait for this fitting to arrive to you. Since to install this, you need to empty the can. This will eliminate the "straw" and will work better.

Its not a big deal...I just want you guys to be happy with your products. And if I can help (since this fittings are not costing me anything) is not a problem. As a matter of fact, if it wasnt for this thread, I would have left my "straw" in place, but now I want to put this fitting in. :D

DaveB, Azeli, Freekwonder, BijouMP5, MP3Moose, TonkaBui and Mattew your fittings will ship tomorrow to the same address the can went to. ELEmental, yours is waiting right here :D

Damn Pirana, you just shot right past DaveB at the top of the list for Best Customer Service. LOL

All I can say again is (bow) (bow) (yippy) (2thumbs) (rockon)

sweet, thanks alot man. so what are people going to do with the top tube connections. just put over flow tubes on them also, so you have two over flows.

I would remove the straw (real easy-unscrew top center fitting and pull the tube) and use to hoses (so it will look good) for the overflow. Can use one if wanted.
