Coolant Catch Can

i got mint up on the fender wheel, but i have the hoses just like you and i drove around last night, and did some spirted driving on a back road and did have any problems or spilling. is the screw on the bottom loose.

I'am working to get you guys a fitting for the bottom. I got a couple of them, I need to see which one fits. I havent had a problem with mine at all, and I have been watching it close because of the turbo.

Here it is guys, as soon as I get all the parts, I will send you this fitting so you can take the straw out and use the bottom for your hose. All I need is a fitting for a hose. But I found the elbow that screws to the bottom of the can.

You shouldnt, but it would be cool to use a red silicone hose to match the rest.

so if i got one hose, are we gonna just have the one hose come from the bottom to the radiator?

Yeah, in theory you wouldnt need any hoses at the top, but you can run two hoses together to drain outside. That way they still look connected. If you look at my turbo pics, you can tell I did not connect a hose to the drain fitting. Thats because I didnt have anymore hose. But I will be doing this new fitting for those of you who want it.

Victor, That's exactly what I got this evening. Cost a whole 85 cents at Autozone! I'll be testing this out tomorrow morning....

What I was thinking was to cap off the top center fitment and keep the other as the overflow.

Nope. Cause you'd be suckin the coolant from the bottom like the factory one does. The only thing we need to find now is something to cap off the top center fitment.....

ok so would the two top fittings then just eject overflow, or does one of them have to be eliminated some how (gathering from your post azeli).

so then confirm that i would just buy that fitting for the bottom, run the included hose to the radiator, then cut a small piece for overflow, then....?

I would LIKE TO eliminate one of the top fitments. Two overflows would look bad. I'm going to dig around the garage tomorrow and come up with a clean functional set up.

hey, if one exhaust is good, then two is better. i think the same goes for our catch cans. two vents better than one, especially if your car is overheating. i'm not sure which one i want to go with yet. i guess i'll just wait for pirana to get that extra piece and cap one of the overflows off and aim the other. hmm... decisions decisions.

Simple solution guys. Leave the straw in and all the fittings the same. What I did is made a gasket using epoxy putty on the top two valves. Everything is sealed up tight and functioning well so far.

Cool, I though yours might not leak, since it came with the little gasket. Mine didnt came with that gasket, so I use pipe dough sealant. I guess if you want to use something to seal, use clear silicone. Thanks.

I installed mine yesterday too..but there's leaking on indicator bolts... top and bottom. WHen I tested with water, it didn't leak but when I tried with coolant water...it leaks..
What stuff can I use to seal those area?
