why would you put an sr20 in a BMW e36? thats just dumb imho

Its different and better then the m42 or m44 that was under the hood.

yeah, but what about that 1000hp turbo option you posted not to long ago. now that is something to do!

1000hp in a e36 really is not that streetable let alone reliable. When parts break on a BMW you might as well throw your wallet out the window.

but they gave like a 2 year warranty. or something like that.

Was that Active Autowerkes? Or another company? I don't remember when I posted about it.

dont recall. maybe it was someone else who posted it. I'll do a search later when I get home if you haven't found it by then

a guy in our SCCA region was testing Ryan Dunn's (the guy from viva la bam & cky) 318ti w/ a supercharged E36 M3 motor at an autoX last year. very sweet, but no pics.

oh, and i will own one of those VTEC Minis one day. soooo cool. C&D had a story about them; it opened with the author keeping up with an SL55...until it rained.

once the P5 is paid off, I'm looking into financing the vtec mini. They are located here in ATL. I need to go check it out.

This thread is awesome! Here are some pics of an srt buddy of mine that is swapping a 2jz into his nova.

The compressor housing is still within about a .25" of the #1 runner and almost hits the lift support bracket. I have plenty of room to go up before it interferes with the hood so I might go up another inch or so.

Good view of how little room I have side to side.

1976 Chevrolet Vega with a 1992 Corvette L-98, very modified, 408 whp / 2650 lbs. T-5 trans, 13" Baers all the way around, Camaro 1LE/BP4 posi rear with 2.77:1 gears. Top speed (that I acheived) 162 mph, front straight, PIR with the festival curves closed. Car started to get a bit light at that speed!

This car was featured in the book "How to Build GM Pro-Touring Cars" by Tony Huntimeier and published by HP Press.

This was my daily driver through college.

That is a sweet looking Vega. One of my uncles use to own a Cossie Vega and a Vega Wagon with a 454 V8.
