Cook Mazda - Harford County

Long story short, real quickly: I bought my MS3 from Cook Mazda at the beginning of July. Overall, I was extremely happy with the car, less than impressed (to put it mildly) with purchasing experience. When I got my Mazda survey in the mail, I made sure and filled it out (did it online) and was blunt but honest in my assessment of Cook Mazda and my experience. I think I did the survey this past weekend or late last week (I already can't remember).

So, today, I get a very interesting phone call, though the person will remain anonymous. In short, he apologized for my experience and said to call him if there was anything he could do for me. He went on to say things had been going downhill there for a while and told me he had cleared out the people 'over there' (assumingly the Cook Mazda team) and was working to get things back on track. WHOA. (boom04)

Not sure if my review was just the last straw, was the catalyst, or just one of many... but it sounds like things are getting shook up at Cook Mazda. I had told myself I was not taking my car back for service, but am considering giving them a chance to earn my business.

Just thought I would share...

EDIT: P.S. -- Here's to hoping no one on this forum was working at Cook Mazda and was 'cleared out.'

I never like dealing with Crook. Back when I had my VW, the people in the parts department were quite rude. They kept questioning me on why I need a certain part. Back in 2002 when I was in the market for a new car, I went to the Mazda dealership. I walked out in the middle of the deal because of how condescending the salesman was being to my wife.

I also bought my car there, i found out when buying a car there you have to walk in like you don't need them than they can do things for you but as far as service i'll just say now don't. This happened with my regular MZ3 but i go in there for a service, they do it no issues right? Only problem is that they charged for 6qt of oil (i had the 2.0 witch only takes 4.5) and from then on unless i only went there if i had a free oil change.

you don't need to feel bad for ANY OF THEM, and you're definitely NOT the sole reason that people got the boot there. Mazda does care about dealer services to the customer, and that survey you filled out has A LOT of influence over how Mazda deals with that dealer. So fill it out AS HONESTLY AS YOU CAN, so that the next person going to that dealership will get some better service.
