i have the apexcone HID's well i have the DDM ballast. 55watts with 6k bulbs.

installed the kit last weekend. looked great but tonight i noticed one of my lights are giving off at slight yellow color. like a halogen.

my other light is fine. nice white color with blue hue.

anyone have any ideas what could be causing this.

who did you order your kit from?

i bet one of your lights is a different bulb temp. similar thing happened to me. One was a 6k (which i wanted) and the other was like a 4300

I believe it was from DDMtunningn but my invoice says Apexcone.com. when i first installed the kit both lights were the same color. i would have noticed if they werent, the colors are too different not to notice. will they replace the bulbs?

please excuse the quality, i snapped these with my blackberry. ill have to take some when i find my dig cam but the differnce isnt as apparent in these photos due to the blackberry but if you look close you can see the difference.

in person the diff. is night and day

speaking as if you are facing the car. the left light is the right color of 6k showing blue hue. and the right light looks like to be a 4300k, it has yellow in it(like a halogen).

headlights shining on the ground, from drivers point of view from inside the car. the right light is the 6K light which you can see the blue hue. the left light has be the 4300K. its yellow and not nearly as bright

samething happen to my friend's hid kit.

it can be either the bulb or the ballist. Switch the bulb to the good side connection and if it is still yellow then it is the bulb. If it looks normal again then it is the ballist.

man, thats too much work to do that.

i rather have Apexcone send me the right bulb. install it and if the same problem occurs then i know its the ballast.

but i dont feel like pulling off my other headlight if i dont have too

its probably the right bulb they sent you .. it just that one of them or the ballist is now defective.

well, it will save you some time and money if you had to send in your ballist after already having sent your bulb.

you mean WRONG bulb? right

yeah you have a point. it all depends on how they want to go about it. hopefully they will send me a bulb instead of me having to send them mine first to see if its the bulb.

they are the ones who are negligent. hopefully they wont inconvenience me like that. or any of their customers
