Hi. I have a quick question about college grad (or graduate school grad) rebates, as I couldn't find any exact information at Mazdausa.com. How does it generally work? Do I have to finance through Mazda to get a $ 500 discount, or can I simply purchase a car and still get a discount? Thanks in advance for any input.

You just have to purchase, of course you need to provide proof that you are a recent grad! It's in the details Here's a chunk of the details page

Graduate Eligibility:
Canadian residents who have graduated between January 1st, 2002 and December 31st, 2006 from an accredited Canadian university or college — a list is attached for reference. The eligibility period is determined from the date shown on the graduate's official transcript. No exceptions from this period will be considered

Well, it's not hard to find on Mazda.ca. They offer it up there, but I've looked and looked and can not find it for the life of me on MazdaUSA.com. Sucks because I qualify for this too!

I might end up just emailing my salesperson and asking.

I just called Mazda customer service line, and it seems like they are not offering it any more in the USA. =(

They stopped offering this in the US about a year ago. I bought my Mazda5 in July 2005 and the graduate rebate was not available then either.

Guess they figured they're losing too much rebate money to us educated Americans (RTM) (usa)

jk of course (lol2)
