What brand does everything get you the best bang for your buck.. Performace and sound wise..

They are all the same or close to the same. Some have problems some don't. You just need to decide what brand you like AEM, INJEN or K&N. I have an SRI and I am pretty happy with the performance. It was dynoed with a 8hp/tq increase. Not bad and I don't have to worry about hydrolock.

You could also do like me and so many others have done and go with the Ebay CAI. Like the last guy said. Even the Name brands have problems if you put it in wrong. Mine cost 69.00 total. Buy a 30 K&N filter and bam there you go, a CAI just like k&n but 120 cheaper.

I went with AEM and it had a nice deep tone at WOOT(when it was intake only). All the companies DREAD posted are respectable and make quality products. It's more of what one prefers. I've used AEM before and like their product and customer support, so I went with them this go around. However if you don't want to spend much money, e-bay CAI will work also(just make sure it has all the holes for MAF and others....).

GOOD LUCK picking the intake!

FYI: AEM is for MTX only, they are working on the ATX model(not out yet).

Now that is SOOOO true, I only got one cuppler with mine. But they only cost 3 bucks at lows.

I cut my AEM and made into a 2-piece(SRI & CAI capable). I had to buy my "BLUE" coupler from DOPI(nopi) for $5! Damn Home Depot ran out of them.

+ $2 for hose clamps at Auto Zone

I've had the AEM for a little over a month and I love it. The growl is deeper than I thought on hard acceleration, otherwise it barely noticible in sound. I definately notice the power though.

ive had my AEM for maybe a year now and have had no problems with it. and now that they come with the new dry filters you dont have to worry about getting oil on your MAF sensor (happened to me). i drove it all winter long, throught the rain, ice, and snow and never had any issues with hydrolock. Now im sure if you went driving throught 2 feet of water your gonna have some issues. overall im very happy with the AEM i bought so i reccomend them. (also never had any check engine lights)

I have an F2 cold air intake that I'm very happy with. The air filter is an ASPEC, which does not use oil. Ricardo of F2 dynoed it at 8 whp, and a bit less torque (I can't remember the exact number--I think 6 lb-ft.). Combined with my Draxas exhaust and high flow cat, my 3 sounds fantastic. I get compliments all the time, like the Discount Tire guy who owns a modified Mustang GT who said, "I've never heard a 4-cylinder that sounds like that before!"

Thanks for the info guys.. I was leaning towards AEM and Injen myself.. Anyone have any reviews of the Injen CAI?
