Cobra Radar Detections oppinions wanted

hey, i just picked up a Cobra ESD 7330 9 band radar & laser/lidar detector.

i've read mixed reviews for the Cobra Radar detectors and wanted to hear some thoughts on their oppinions for the Cobra Radar Detectors.

Are they reliable, or am i better off spending the bigger bux on something like the Valentine 1?

i have a Cobra 12-Band Radar/Laser Detector and it works fine. it has saved me from over 1k in tickets already. although i got a warning from a cop last night that was hiding on an uphill behind a bridge and my detector did'nt pick him up till the last second...still I'm very satisfied with it.

actually i got mine at circuit city. i couldn't pass it up for $30 bux.

i knew it was one of the two, that or i think bestbuy had one too. i wouldnt need one, i never really speed, and i know pretty much where all the cops hide and go.

thats good to know. 'm leaning towards keeping and and using it for a few weeks to see how well it performs (w/o speeding of course) until i grow confident in it.

circuitcity.com customers gave it a pretty bad review, some liked it, some didnt it. i guess it depends on where u live. hopefully it will work good for yah buddy.

i don't speed much either, but i got pulled over on thanksgiving night for "noisemaker" citation (2nd one now) on the highway. so i figured it couldn't hurt to have one of these to help me spot some cops so i can be quiet when i pass them.

thanks. its really loud. the perrin exhaust is really loud, but i like it, jus don't like the 213 dollars worth of tickets i've accumulated so far b/c of it. i live in bumbletruck pa, cops have nothing to do here. i never had any problems the 2 years i live in philly w/ this exhaust.

the downpipe actually made the exhaust quieter, the resonator didn't do anything. custommsp pointed out the resonator could be on backwards... i wasn't aware resonators were directional. just waiting on vibrant to email me back to confirm if theirs is or not.

i don't know how fast it is yet, i just got it back from the dealership w/ the built motor about a month ago, and i just installed the microtech about two weeks ago, and its running on the basemap.

im waiting on a fuel pump, before i get it dynotuned. only thing i can compare it to is a couple cars i've raced on the highway, beat a stage2 SRT-4 and an 06 350z w/ exhaust and AlterAtmosphere ECU Flash. i was running 8-9psi and was still on the DSMafc at the time.

no pictures right now, looks pretty much stock anyways minus the fmic and exhaust.

I have one that's 3 years old, small and virtually no false readings. It has saved me over 20 times! My brother had a newer one that he stopped using because he got a lot of false readings where he lives.

V1 or X50, i have had the 8500 and the X50, not the V1 they are both TOP NOTCH. and way better than any cobra you will get. Beltronics has a good one too.
