Cobra Radar Detections oppinions wanted

Honestly, With radar detectors you really do get what you pay for. if you pay 30 bucks its guna be a piece. Sorry. I have ALOT of experience with rd.

I have a Bel Express 795 which was rated #1 for under $100 detectors last year. It has saved me numerous times. The only false readings I get are from a few stores in the city when I pass them. I dont usually speed down city streets anyway, just going from store to store on the highway.

A few week ago they posted a radar sign on the frontage road along the highway and everyday I passed it the radar would scream at me and I couldn't figure out wtf was going on. Finally I passed it at night while the sign was on and I saw it acroos the median all the way on the other side of the highway blinking. My radar was picking it up from at least 1/2 mile away and from across a 4 lane highwat with a rather large median dividing it.

i have a cobra radar i got from pep-boys about 1 1/2 years ago for 39.99 i've only gotten one ticket, and thats only cause i had it turned downed it was 61 in a 35. it also picks up all the walgreens and cvs pharmacy's. but it gives a different signal for thoses store's....

i paid 80+ for my cobra a year ago, and i personally think it sucks. it picks up all kinds of false alarms, but wont pick up a true radar signal until you're right on top of the cop. it has saved me a couple times, but once going down the freeway i saw the cop before the stupid radar detector went off and by that time it was way too late.
