ya, it would have to be a stage 1.5 in addition to a stage 1 and stage 2. this is why i kinda doubt it's gonna be happening anytime soon, because i can't see any other car that they've done this for...=/
How much is different between the MS3 and MS6 in terms of the engine and EMS system?
This was taken from the "other forum" poste by Josh@Cobb.
"The Stages we do are pretty much the same for every car as it is a pretty effective route for most turbo cars.
Stage 1 - AccessPORT (Just ECU Reprogramming)
Stage 2 - AccessPORT + Turbo-back Exhaust (Using the specific mapping for the TBE)
Depending on the car we may have to have an additional map for each stage that includes the intake so the MS3 may or may not look like this:
Stage 1
Stage 1 + Intake
Stage 2
Stage 2 + Intake
The FMIC might also throw another Stage or Stage + into the mix."
ya, i'm still doubtful that the stage 1 + intake X will be available anytime soon because if you look at any of the other APs that they have released, there is no stage 1 + non-cobb intake map...=/
They have said that as long as the intkae wont alter the a/f ratios that much it will be fine.
Theyve also said that the ms cai alters it enough to require a tune. They said they may or may not make a map specific for those with the ms cai.

I asked Josh about that, He said that generally an exhaust is an exhaust and that pretty much any aftermarket exhaust will be fine with stage 2.
I also asked him if I could just get a downpipe and use the stock catback since its not that much of a restriction. He said that should also be fine, but Id have a few less horsepower. I know that after I get the AP, im going straight to the dyno to check my a/f ratios and have a good tuner listen for any sort of knock, just to be safe
Also, to clarify, on cobbs forum, one of the engineers announced that they will be releasing both, the streettuner and the protuner at a later time. Neither will be out when the accessport is released.
So that means that there is no way to tune or adjust anything for a long time.
Ok, I know this is unethical but I have to ask. What's to stop two or three people who live near each other from buying one of these things and all sharing the cost and useage?
For me with just the MS CAI, I would be a DEFINITE purchase if they mapped for it...right now, I am just considering it.
btw...if you guys wanted a cobb sri, it looks like this guy from Marketplace may have the deal you want! =d

The engine, not so much, but the awd is something the ems would have to deal with, also the ecu is completely different, so theyd have to recrack that whole thing.
If you are asking because you are thinking it would be possible to use the ms3 ecu in the ms6, then I Dont know if that would work either because still you have to add in all wheel drive, and you have to deal with getting some sort of ms6 ecu to ms3 ecu wire harness adapter.
The awd in the ms6 is controlled by a separate computer. Ms6 owners describe it as a black box next to the ecu.
