COBB Sway Bars

I just installed them and I get this a TON of noise when I go over bumps and such like it's not pinned down right. The stock bars had two small rubber coverings that kept the bars in contact with the body so it didn't knock on each other but the COBB ones didn't come with it and the stock rubber things wouldn't fit on them. What do I do??? What did I do wrong, if anything???

The Cobb didn't have rubber bushings for the "frame" mount? I'm pretty sure mine did. I hope yours had the metal c-clamps.

I'm using the OEM metal C clamps. I don't think mine came with the rubber bushings...>_>". Any damage if I don't use them for a day?

Mine came with the bushings I am pretty sure. No noise other than it coming loose everyone blue moon. Easy fix though.

How is the handling with the front on?

I'm working with a limited amount of tools so I couldn't even begin to try to get the front one on. I lifted the car high enough to get under the front but don't have enough room to be able to undo the bolts. I only got the rears in but it's making a ton of noise so I'm gonna have to contact COBB and ask for the bushings. As for today, I'm going to school with my older car...and '02 Hyundai Sonata GLS V6.

the Cobb bars are a different diameter from stock so the stock bushings may not work. The brackets and bushings should be supplied. I have the Hotchkis bars which are very similar. PM if you you like.

Yeah, something's weird here. Mine came with new bushings and new clamps. The only thing re-used was the end-links.

ditto.

if you purchased the bar new, than you are missing parts. if you purchased it used, you will need to contact COBB and see if they can send you or if you can purchase the missing parts.

I had a bunch of groaning and creaking with my Cobb rear bar using the supplied bushings/brackets. I got under there and torqued it down a little more and havn't heard a peep since.

Does the Cobb come with the the bushing pre lube? i also got the brackets with grease fittings. like i said somewhere i did add some grease after driving a about a week. They where kindof groaning getting out my drive way. All better no noise at all after a couple shots. of grease, i meant.

just got my cobb rsb tonight and installed it w/ no issues. cobb supplied bushings, brackets and a little packet of grease to lube the inside of the bushings where they wrap around the rsb.

easy install w/ rhino ramps. love the way the back end whips around (went stiffest). i know others have recommended an rsb as a first mod and i agree. car feels neutral now.

I was browsing the Protege section and noticed a lot of talk about installing an RSB with no other chassis mods. Is this safe or do I need to get upgraded end links, etc?

mine our groaning a little bit after 2 weeks. all the bolts are properly torqued (40 ft-lbs) but i can't get my grease gun to mate w/ the fitting.

tonight i'm gonna take the brackets off, apply additional synthetic grease and put a little more torque on the bolts to see if that helps.
