Cobb SRI back in stock!

So...anyone get theirs yet?

I just installed mine last night....

Directions were good...I was missing two washers connecting the housing to the bracket but I had spare ones.

Also, the last part of the directions said to torque the clamp to 30lbs which I couldn't do without breaking the clamp...unless I misread the meaning of that (stooges)

Everything is solid though..and looks great...I am using the Stage2+SF 93 v103l and have 38 miles on it so I will test after a few more miles (smoke)

I have Cobb SRI - Forge BPV Blue Spring - 2-Step colder plugs - CS Testpipe - MS3 CBE - TRZ Rear Motor Mount - Cobb SS - TMW Shifter Brushings - Cobb Shifter Weight - AP 1.03 L

Couldn't torque a bolt to 30 inch lbs?

Received mine last week and had the dealer install it this past Tuesday. They will honor my warranty as long as they installed it. Hey no fuss for me and it was done right. It looks great, makes a significant difference in torque, acceleration and it sounds nasty! So worth the small investment for such a big output!

Let's do some math. Let's say they have been out of stock since June. It's now December. Let's just say that out of the $175 list price, $100 of it are only parts and research, so they make $75 a piece. Let's just say there have been 1,000 SRI's sold since they've been on backorder (I honestly doubt that 1,000 MS3 owners bought SRI's, but just rounding up).

Example purposes:
SRI $175 ($75 profit).
Used SRI $175-$250 ($75 max profit potential)

1,000 sales x $75 profit margin ea. unit= $75,000 Gross Margin Dollars

1,000 sales x $175 POTENTIAL profit margin ea. unit= $175,000 (they could have brought in if they only sold it for $250 like most used SRI's).

I dunno. I'd say they lost a lot? Of course, these are only estimates if they make $75 a piece on them. I'd hope they do. Any less and that may not be worth it.

This is a mass produced product made in China, Cobb's manufacturing cost per unit on these is less than $20.

If you tried 30 ft-lbs, 30 ft-lbs = 360 inch lbs. That will certainly break a clamp.

Likewise 30 inch-lbs = 2.5 ft-lbs. = not more than a good twist by hand.

Geez...thank you...time to go back to school...ha ha...(hand)
