why does the stage 2+sf run with stock maf values? If your running the sf stage 2 then you have the cobb intake and not stock right? So you have to tune your maf values to avoid crazy knock? tune yourself or get custom tune?
sf intake-turbo inlet-testpipe.......even without dp..a custom tune from surgeline should give me some respectable numbers eh.

you cant safely sun a stage 2 map without a fuelpump upgrade, thats y it knocks,, nd yea a ligit tune is always better.. trust me on the fuelpump thing, i talked to a certified cobb tuner, he says we need a fuelpump upgrade to run anything above a stage1 map, and a highflow car is recomended so that u dnt get boost creep, run a stage 1 93 SF map, thats the only one u can run safely

we hypothesize that the stock maf values were a mistake. It is hard to keep all those maps straight and mistakes are made.

stage 2 yes..but from all the vibes ive gotten from surgeline tuning and cobb that the stock fuel pump "should" be fine for stage 1. only now and then you run into a ms3 that wont pump enough fuel on those 103 stage 1 maps. mines a 09 so maybe it will hold up fine. Just trying to wonder if I should just get accessport and get custom tune and call it good..or go ahead and get the downpipe and go stage 2 then prabaly spend more money on stuff ill need for that stage 2 for a car that really is just a daily driver for me and I dont need to be blowing the doors of sti's evo's lol

OK, please STOP posting this man. Stage 2 includes just a Test Pipe man. You also don't need a FP to run ANY of the base maps and a FP will NOT fix any KR as that is a TUNE issue and not a FP issue.

You only need a FP if you have the mods that free up your system and you plan to get a CUSTOM tune as it will demand more fuel than the base maps be they Stage 1 or Stage 2.

With my mods listed, my stock FP JUST STARTED to have FP issue as I was getting a custom tune from Cobb. When I mean just started I mean on full WOT runs the ONLY time my FP Dipped was imediatly after a shift and then it ONLY dipped to 1358PSI (in ONE log) and then right back to 1600-1700 with the STOCK FP.

However, I was getting a custom tune so I was worried that it would dip more as the tune was finalized, so I got internals.

Your TUNER was talking Intake, TBE you will probably need Internals as any Custom Tune will demand more fuel as it will push the limits. However, the Stage 1/2 tunes for the AP (103 maps) do NOT require a FP upgrade as they simply do not run hot enough for one.

So friend, you simply can't say "EVERYONE" needs internals or a FP upgrade if they buy an AP as that is simply false information. So please stop saying it. Unless you're getting a custom tune that money is better spent on something like a DashHawk so you can monitor your entire system and tell when you REALLY need something.

Overall you will benefit more from an AP. It will lean you out and a tune is always better than no tune. However, if you want a custom tune I would recommend getting all your mods first, then get your tune.

Thanks Bravnik so if i add a catted downpipe to my current mods asnd then go accessport..I shouldnt have to worry on fp upgrade?

With the basic 103 map for your mods you should not have any issue. Then again, you need to monitor it and verify that is the case. With the AP you will be able to see your FP when you log and if you see it dip below 1400 then you might need internals. If not, then you will be fine.

I personally didn't have any FP issues until I started my custom tune with Cobb. That is the only time I ever had a dip below 1400 and it was a single time. I figured it would just get worse as my custom tune progressed and at that point ordered my internals. However, until then I never had FP issues with my mods.

so cobb stage 2 seems the way to go..so do I get the downpipe or accessport first..keep in mind its gonna be few months inbetween mods. I kinda wanna lean towards the AP cause easy lazy install lol and even with just intake and testpipe ive been told it will pull much harder and linear..just run off a stock 103 map and log it..then get the downpipe and drive down to surgeline and get it tuned? or should I get the downpipe first..which I have no prablem with that...I would assume throwing on the cobb downpipe I would still get anice bump in power without a AP too..just gotta decide whats first to buy.
