Cobb AP on stock car - upgrade the sparks?

I am getting an AP soon and my car is otherwise stock right now. I'll be adding a Forge BPV shortly as well as a COBB SRI. But before that my AP should arrive. So the question is, is it necessary to upgrade the sparks to a one step colder plug before using the AP even on a stock car?

got some answers on the other forum and ended up swapping plugs last night. will be installing the AP on the car tonight and then my SRI later this week.

the plug install or running an AP map? the plug install was extremely easy, mostly just a pita to have to remove the tmic. the AP installs pretty easy and now that Ive got some miles on it I can safely say that the power delivery is incredibly smooth. havent gotten my intake on yet but hopefully soon.
