Hey Guys,
I am really thinking about getting the Cobb AP. I was wondering if there would be any issues about using it with 50/50 hybrid BOV. I have around 1k to spend and I was thinking of getting the Cobb AP and the Synapse BOV, maybe spend a little more and get a DP. I just wanted some opinions on if this is an efficient and safe way to start modding my car. The only upgrade so far is the MS CAI and soon the MS Exhaust (just because I can get it and get it installed for like $100)

Cobb won't receommend using any aftermarket BPV with the AP.....but many are running one without issues.

I would recommend a DP before the AP and BPV.......best bang for the buck.
You'll be very happy with the I/TBE, then you can add the AP later and run Stage 2.

Hey, I am starting to think about getting the TurboXS Stealth Kit, which is the DP and the RP for $500. I would just get the Full TurboBack exhaust, but I am getting the MS Cat-Back for such a good deal that I really cant pass it up.

Sounds good!
The only issues I've heard of with the TXS are possible fitment problems.....but I really don't know much about them.

Most people are running the CPE-DP (includes mid-pipe I think) or are waiting for the Cobb to come out.

the only problem with a down pipe is the location! in md me get fuel cut when it gets cold! so depending on where he is the ap might be a little better for him!

Sorry to bump an old ass thread, but I am in a similar situation. I have the forge BPV and was wondering if that was safe to use with the AP and Cobb SRI as the only mods. Let me know.

I ran the turbo xs hybrid for a while with only small backfires on RARE occasions, and thats when I started taking washers out.....

I've got my dp/rp in and I'm running a GReddy type-s bov. I LOVE the sound, but I'm idling rough and backfiring like crazy.

With that in mind, I will def be running my tsx when I get my ap. Since the car runs basically like stock with it installed, I'm assuming there will be no issues with the ap. But t's only a matter of time before I get frustrated and sell the type-s. DAMN IT!! It sounds so good!!!!!

And yes, xandrake, you should have ZERO issues running SRI and upgraded bpv with a stage 1 map

The only problem you may have is boost cut if you start holding your boost longer. The ecu may eventually adjust for the increased boost. A lot of people are running aftermarket bpv with the ap and do not have any issues

As was mentioned before, if you vent your valve to atmosphere your tuning should account for it on our car is what I hear.

Tuning, what tuning ;) yeah I love the vta sound but it doesn't run too well. I know you can tune to cut fuel with standback, but does/can ap adjust for vta, or only with the street tuner software (I know its not out yet)??

Figured. Damn I love that sound. Oh well, anyone want to buy a greddy type-s, adapter plate, and recic cap? ;)
If it is almost free I am in! That is a nice valve for sure. Go big Turbo with a big wastegate and tune the car and then you will be able to use the greddy!
