Cobb AP and MDS Dashhawk

So I was just curious as to whether the Cobb AP can monitor as many things as the dashhawk. I know the DH can monitor multiple things at once, but if I get a Cobb AP do I need a dashhawk or can I monitor wideband etc. with the AP??

The AP can monitor anything. But only one parameter on the screen at once. Both can perform datalogs.

An AP and a boost gauge would be fine imo. But a dashhawk would be more conveniant for monitoring multiple parameters.

Well I feel llike the Cobb AP would be a better bet because I want to use it for the tuning aspect. Do I need to hook up a sensor for the wideband to monitor that parameter because the dashhawk has a specific port for the sensor.

Nope you just plug in the AP and your done. My aeroforce scan gauge is the same way. Just plug it in and your set. Not sure why the dashhawk has the seperate thing.

So if your looking to save money than you don't need a dashhawk if you have an AP. You can only use one at a time anyway.

Sweet Cobb AP it is thanks guys for all the input. However, I know someone with an RX-8 and he said the Cobb AP is garbage for RX-8's. I haven't heard one bad thing about the Cobb AP for the MS3's. Is there any heads up you could give me.

Its what 9/10 tuned people on these forums use. It allows you to adjust any parameter you wan't. I just had it custom tuned and my car is running great.

auterra makes a product called dashdynoSPD that is a credible alternative to the dash hawk.

I have had mine for a year and a half now and am very pleased with it.
