I don't feel anything on the butt dyno... I do believe that I will now be getting cooler air - from that section between the fender liner and the front bumper, and that's worth it just for the possible reduction in KR.

I thought it has long been established that CAI result in higher HP (1-3) at the loss of low end torque? Dyno proven...
I'm thinking a vented hood which would allow hot engine compartment air to be sucked out via the high pressure air flowing over the hood would really help the effectiveness of the CAB...

Ya, it sucks as I'm using the Amsoil filter in the airbox, but without the lid. I'll probably end up MacGyvering the box with some weatherstripping to seal it against the hood, kind of like the K&N Typhoon setup.
Observations today on 20 mile commute to work:
Speed = 70-80 mph
Ambient air temp, according to in car sensor = 80-82*
Intake air temp, according to AccessPORT = 80-86*
I kept comparing the AP temps against the car temp, and saw anywhere between 0 and 3 degree difference in temps. On average, the IAT was 1-2 degrees warmer than ambient.
IIRC, difference in IAT before the CS CAB averaged around 5 degrees...

Great job monitoring the temps. Could you do the same thing in some commuter, stop and go slow traffic and let us know if this addresses any of the issues regarding climbing engine compartment temps when stopped or in slow traffic?
That's been my only SRI reservation, but I don't have the right equipment to do this type of monitoring accurately.

What I really want to see is the difference in outside vs intake air temp after you've run the car and then parked it. That's where the difference really occurs.
Edit: I did some data logging of my own on the way home using the DashHawk. The pictures speak for themselves. (Cobb SRI with Fujita dryflow filter)
15 minutes into driving (that is actually 78 MPH)
25 minutes after I started the car, 1 minute idling in the driveway at home

No, I do NOT have the airbox yet. I was just showing what temps look like on the road and at idle with no airbox at all. I want to see what temps do at idle with the airbox on.
