Clunking VS. Squeeking.

It seems that most of yo guys compain of having a clunk, which I think I hear but I assumed it was part of my stereo install that being redone soon. My cars worst problem is the horribly loud squeeks coming from what sounds like all 4 struts when the dires hit dips or speed bumps. Does any one else have this problem?

I have the exact same problem...but it's weird...it's either the squeaking noise or the clunking noise...it's never both...strange...I just went yesterday to the dealership and they didn't find anything wrong...this car is really stressing me out...but I still love it...

This is either the bushings or the shocks. Either way it's because of the cold weather. Most high-end suspension set ups do this. Once it warms up, the noise should go away again. Set ups like ours just weren't intended for winter driving. It's just a characteristic of the car.

The clunk is eithier the sway bar or the bushings in the rear. Personally I'm %95 sure it's the bushings that hold everything together in the rear. Why, because you can take them off, clean them, lube them, and it goes away for awhile. Caliper Lube has kept me noise free for almost 5 weeks now. But's only a temp fix until Mazda releases new bushings or something.

Hope that helps.

I agree 100% with Newf. The squeek will go away with warmer temps (though that's still pretty annoying, but eh) The clunk according to one of the other threads has been acknowledged by Mazda and hopefully will be fixed soon...cross your fingers...

Newf and 3pmadzam are right. When its 50 degrees or colder here I squeek and clunk like nothing I have ever heard before especially on bumps and corners. But when its 60 degrees I have no sounds just the sweet sound of engine and exhaust. drool..
