Clunk Updates

Well I have an MP3 and had the same problems as you. I don't think there is much you can do about the squeeking noise up front. Maybe some kind of lubricant. I had 4 sets of bushings replaced in mine on the rear and Mazda (Candada) finally found a fix. They replaced the whole sway bar and from what I can tell there is an insert beetween the bar and the bushing. I have not had any problems for the last 6000km's. They use to last about 4000km's then the clunking would start. My warranty just finished and I hope that's the last clunk i ever hear!! (canada) Good luck

My clunk seems to be coming back. So far it is only on really large bumps. Not like a curb or anything, just large enough that I would rather not have hit it.

Has anyone else gone back to a dealer once the warranty is up to try to get new bushings/bar ?

i had mine replaced @ 51,000 miles. My dealer is very aware of the problem, and the service tech, cant believe how long this has been going on. I'm gonna try and see if i can go to a new dealership ( idont live in PA anymore) and get them replaced again. I might contact mazda NA before doing so.

Mtb

I like Rocky Mtns. They make a good bike. I went back to a hard tail because I'm not traveling to the mountains anymore.

Sorry I didn't PM you back, been busy.

The Ellsworth is going up on e-bay this weekend.

Guess what folks, It's now been 1 yr for my E's. :) :) :)

Knock on wood of course. But all is good.

Now, if I could just get rid of the hesitation.

(flame) I thought everthing was fixed with the new update but to my suprise a clunk in the rear and major squeaks are beginning to piss me off. Warranty has just finished and the bushings have been replaced 5 times alreay. (rant)

For all the people who get their bushings replaced more than once, are you guys sure that you are getting the correct one? The reason I ask is that I have had mine for a year, taken them off to lube them, twice, and still no sign of the clunk. My swaybar is also worn down to the bare metal.

hey guess i had the clunk problem really bad wouldnt stop even if i was just to release the brakes dam it sucked, but hten i went to walmart n saw this grease stuff that would hold up to like 0 degrees or soemthin n stand upt o like 200 degrees i dont really no if this is true but its grease n a can n when u spray it it comes out like grease n i just put it all over the sway bar n inside the crack of the bushin n for about 3 months now there hasnt been no clunks!! but for some reason there has been a squeakin noise comin from my back when i pull out of my drive way, but i think thats from really dried up soemwhere but i havnt figured out where i no its not the swaybar bushin because they still have alot of grease on the side but mayb not enough inside ill keep u guys posted if it still works n ill try to get u the company who makes it

Does anyone have a how-to or could give me directions on how to replace these bushings myself ? Apparently they are only $12.17ea at the dealer.

With the temperature around 0 degrees celsius this morning, the clunk is back.
I'm on my 2nd set of E's with the original sway bar.

Ahh the Evil Mazda Clunk still lives. I thought delsing had a fix??? What about the greasable Energy Susp. Bushings... Forget the Mazda fixes they obviously don't work.

Can't wait to receive the Delsing kit I've ordered! I got Mazda to replace my bushings like 3 weeks ago and now that is getting cold here (below freezing), I can hear an occasional clunk again! :( I hope soon this will be just bad memories :)

hey just installed mine i used somethin a little bigger i think i used a 22mm i think i couldnt find the 21.5mm so i used the 22mm but when installed they r still stiff like i cant move it with my hand at all n when i test drove it NO CLUNKS! WOW! FORGOT HOW THAT SOUNDED hehe but so far 3 days n drivin in mostly rain n dirt n havnt greased them yet (trin to push the limits) about 100 miles alrdy i think keep u guys updated too!

So I think I am I am having this problem. When i drive over bumps (railroad tracks) my front in makes a squeak. Does not sounds good. I did not know if this was suppose to sound like this since it is a tight suspension. Also when I stop I can hear the back squeak. It has just started to get cold here in Texas and now I am hearing it. Any ideas. IT is at 40,000 miles but I have a extended warr. Should I take it to the dealer???
Thanks
Christopher
