Clunk Updates

I'm not sure what Mazda is doing to inform dealers. I have not had a response from my main Mazda contact in some time....big surprise there. Whether it's officially been released or not, I'm only guessing because others have gotten them easily. it's either that or they released a few sets to test them out before the mutha load gets released.

I guessing those who have them are somewhat classified as round 2 testers by mazda.

When I was originally told I was getting a new set a couple of months ago, my tech said that some new bushings from Canada were going to be shipped to dealers who had customers with numerours complaints and replacements. I have phoned, written and e-mailed Mazda more times than I can count along with my dealer doing alot of complaining themselves. Maybe that is why I was one of the ones who received these E bushings?

they painted them yellow and put MSP stickers on them
(lol)

WHAT ? yellow????????????/ humm i need blue man. Oh well i guess i should wait for "F"series to come out eh, they might paint them blue if "E" fails :D .

tkx

Oh i wouldn't be surprise if they put STI sticker on it.

Well, I've got the 156E's on there now (they refused to fix my front because of course after a week of 40F weather, it was 70F yesterday, and they couldn't replicate the problem...blah...

I did talk to my former tech, and new contact at the dealership who is friggin great. Used to work in the garage and personally replaced the first 5-6 sets of bushings for me...they apparently got a part from Mazda that they were supposed to use for my car, but he and the others saw it and just said no to Mazda, because it wouldn't work. He said it was a mess, the part just stunk, and wouln't even line up correctly. In order to get it to work they would have had to bend parts(wow), so they eventually got the 156E's and used them.

I feel like I might be some sort of test subject and don't even know it...(shrug)
(edited for poor grammar)

I have been pm'ing with Toronto Raj. He is going in on Oct 20 for the E bushings. I am going to try to drop by to compare notes.
If his dealer hears another car with the same problem, they may cut him some slack. Also, if they will put the E's on his car, i will use that ammo when i go to Gyro. I can tell them that the other dealer is doing it, look into it. Just like i did with the flash.
I will keep you posted.
Keep the reviews of the E's coming guys. The more test mules there are, the better the data we will have. If someone's fail, then hopefully they will move on to something else for the "fix".
I know i'm not going to line up for something that doesn't work, like the D bushings.

Or the A bushings or the B bushings, or the C bushings...

anyone who's been around for a while (>1yr) knows that a new part is actually nothing really new...just the most recent attempt to shut us up, the cheapest way possible, until our warranty runs out...IMHO (shrug)

my dealer still doesnt have these E bushings shown up on their computer..............

arg......... anyone know the Mazda Canada customer service line?

I want to do some bitching so i'll hopefully get to try out the Es too..

The " E " bushing went on the MP3 on the weekend. I had a look at them. Basically they are the same as the " D " bushings except the have a teflon ring in them. I would guess the teflon ring does not wear out as fast as the material the bushing is made of does.

Of course the clunk has gone away, car feels better and we will see how it goes, the cars will be stored over winter so the real test will be the spring for us.

The " E " bushings are in the computer...my dealer found them no problem. I will be getting them on the MSP this coming weekend.
