Clifford Alarm Systems?

I've been rocking the RS2.5X for a couple years now, thing is solid. The range isn't as good as compustar, but you still have to be pretty far away from the car to lose the signal.

If you've never had an alarm with a 2 way pager system, you will love it... good piece of mind.

Sorry I had to. Everytime I see this post this is what I'm thinking

The same company owns both Viper and Clifford... that is DEI. They make the majority of alarms out there... Python, Hornet, Automate etc. They're essentially the same alarms, just have different remote casings. I'd go with Compustar if I were you though, best alarms on the market. Range is crazy on the 2 way, they have color screen remotes, remote start designed for 5speeds and all sorts of crazy options available to them.

cliffard car alarms are made by DEI who also makes viper.. use a different unit because if he wants remote start you can't with those units safely.. use a compustar unit.. better range more reliable

btw if you want stop in my store and I can get you a price quote on either a compuster or a dei model

i got a clifford 10.5X. its my first alarm being that its also my first car xD well when i first went to the alarm shop, they didnt recommend viper or the other things they had(i forget what it was) cause they said that its all of the same brands but theres something about clifford being better? it came wit a beeper and a normal pager wit a blue LED.i think this is one of the 2 models that actually has a blue LED status light.i like blue haha lol anywayz i really like the alarm but theres one weird thing that happens to my alarm.idk if any1 experiences this. when i first got the alarm, it was fine when u used it outdoors. but for some reason in my garage, the signal is dropping and not being able to transmit when i'm just maybe about 2 feet away. sometimes it unlocks and locks but other times it doesnt or it has a "beep that tells u out of range" anywayz i took it back to the alarm shop i got it from (they got really good warranty xD) they switched out my unit and replaced it all for no charge xD now it works better but theres an occasional "signal not reaching" when i'm unlocking my car in my garage. maybe my garage has too many metal things inside which is jamming the frequency.i do like it considering that it has many modes wit various aux options and a pretty far distance too. the distance is far enough so that i can go to classes and have peace of mind.i also like the little beeper thingy. u can program it to like be in silent mode and like turn the backlight on(the backlight is almost the same color as the gauges in my p5) o yea i also have it programmed to play 2 different tones instead of the 6 u get stock xD those 2 tones(1 and 6 i think..it was the last one are the loudest) i tested my alarm by tripping it in my enclosed garage..man that was stupid cause i almost went deaf. i'm still trying to learn how to disengage the failstart if i happen to not have batteries. i tried several times but i cant seem to do it lol.well i hope that was helpful cause this was a long post. xP

well for the range issues.. any thing that's a building.. metal.. radio interferance or even using your own cell phone can cut your range.. just so you know... I don't know if clifford is the same as the viper but I know the 2 way units for viper are

unlock door (w/key)
you have 30 seconds to engadge valet mode
put key to on position
push valet button
pull key out of ignition
push valet button

if you have any questions let me know I'm an authorized DEI and compustar dealer

Thanks you guys! I'm definitely planning on putting one of these in the MSM. No need for it yet since I have sold all my electronics, but as soon as I start slapping in all the goods this will be something I'm going to need.

I don't exactly live in the best city.

the alarm will go off right away... just like a normal alarm.. the 30 seconds is how long you have to engage the valet option before you can no longer engage it, and will have to wait till the system resets itself
