Same here, when starting the car in reverse. However, without even moving an inch, try to put it back to Park, and back to Reverse. For the second attempt I can't hear the clicking noise. I presume, this noise is somehow related to the transmission oil. What I mean is something in the tranny immerses in oil when switch from P to R after an overnight parking, and with the fresh oil film on it there is no more clicking noise for the second time... Transmission experts?Yep, our AWD CX-9 clicks every time we start it up in the garage and put it in reverse. Not sure if it does it after warmed up.
