Clear sidemarker install (pics)

Took the day off and installed a set of clear sidemarkers on my P5. It starts with a set of Misubishi Eclipse (95-99) clear sidemarkers..

I have pics and notes here:

That was a great presentation. The car looks great. Thanks for taking the time out to take those photos and post them.

nice job...I like the clears but think I'll stick around with the stockers until one is made specifically for the P5...I don't want to go through all the modding...urs look great though:D

where does one get that bug deflector?????
i am in Vancouver BC Canada

from the bug deflector factory, no j/k you can get one from mazda can't you? but they will rip you and **** you left, right and center

The new ones are coming from the factory with clear side markers. Just get them from a Mazda dealer instead of using the Bitandpieces parts.

YOU are PARTLY right....yes the new mid year USA models have a clear side marker that is small...and just forward of the front doors high on the fender....

HOWEVER>....this how-to is to mod the current FRONT sidemarkers/running lights on the front bumper of the P-5. so you are not talking about the same lights.

Dude those look great!!!! I am going to do the same thing real soon I hope. Anyways thanks for some cool tips on the install.
Later

:)

hmm.. if i could only have all of them!,headlight signal, fwd of wheel light (converted to a signal), side euro marker, rear signal and the arrow on the mirrors too!! lol :D

so thats 5 turn signals on each side which means its impossible not to see it, so ppl will let you merge and not be a jackass becuase your blinkers are so damn bright and plentiful!

haha if anyone actualy ever puts that many side markers on and turn signals... I want to see an animation, that would be laugh-my--ass-off funny.

You did a VERY clean job of this, but I've seen this mod in real life at a car meet this Saturday and I didn't like how it sticks out from the car. (The guy did a sloppy job compared to yours.) I like how the stock lights are flush against the body, but these have that extra piece between the car and the plastic lens part. I kept mine stock but used tinting spray paint to smoke them. Looks good on the dark blue.
