Cleaning MS6 rims

Guys,

I have to say, these rims are very difficult to clean! I bought some wheel cleaner and a wheel brush and even then I tend to miss some spots. Are there any tricks on how to clean them?

I have the 06 Mazda 6 s Grand Sport 18" wheels so as we all know they get covered in brake dust here in georgia we have walmart's automated car wash and they have these big wheel brushes i use to get most of the brake dust off then their pressure wash wheel cleaner works wonders!! for the rest. I havent had to use any wheel cleaner on the wheels the high pressure water gets them clean

busted my knuckles to clean them the other day (the inside I am talking about)
Used a long towel that wrapped around the whole tire and moved back and forth.

Did the job okay.

I installed these wheels on my car. Not only are they much easier to clean, I also can't tell they're dirty because they're almost the same color as the brake dust (until they get really dirty). And they look great with my Titanium Gray car.

CAREFUL with those brushes... I scratched my f'ing wheels in many places before I noticed that I was doing it... ARRRRRGH.... Nothing but soft sponges from now on...

But yeah, damn that brake dust. Gotta say, I love the brakes on this car though.

I stopped using the brush but it was a soft one that didn't scratch...I find a washmit goes best.

washmit is what I have used on all of my mazda's. I just retire the mit I use for the car to doing the wheels and get a new one for the car and repeat. Soap and water, no sprays here.

....and I still hate multispoke wheels.

put some hawk perfomance pads on your car and you won't really need to clean them. other than that. go buy a baby bottle brush and simple green.

yep careful what you use on the wheels cause most manufacturers use the same or idential clear coat found on your body panels. I basicly used crossbows earlier teachings and used automotive wax on em. Usualy for both cars I use the meguires scratch-x. The mazda aloys have nice deep metalic flake and the mercury aloys look chrome after cleaning. No mater what you use, make shure you don't wait 3 months to clean the dust off the rims or bad things might happen.
