if you read the FAQ that comes with the auto dry, it specifically states it does not strip wax

Next time it rains, the beads will be back -- and you get to wash again!"
I don't see how this unit could even strip wax anyway, it uses a regular car wash soap, and the water is run through a filter to strip it of harsh chemicals, similar to a drinking water purifier...
