After a few months of lurkin around the forum, gawking at all the gorgeous P5 builds, buying some needed upgrades off a couple members, & trying to give advice where I could, the time has come to start the build thread, A.K.A "Claudia's Makeover".

I'm new to import CARS. My 98 cherokee (XJ) (& basically the opposite of this world, lifts) make up my wrenchin experience. So a few years ago, I bought a 2005 2.3L Mazda3 as a commuter, & I completely fell in love. Around the same time, also started dating my girl (who Claudia actually belongs to). So, now with a new found love for speed & agility, the madness ensued & I decided to start upgrading a things. Ended up loosing my job, & since I already had another vehicle, had to get rid of the MZ3. So focus turned to my girls' 100% stock 03 MP5....

So it starts with basic upgraded tune-up & switch to high milage oil. Then came a half Injen/half unknown CAI & unknown header from Silver5. Love the throaty sound & minor performance they've provided. Don't have pix of this stuff, nothin special & engine bay needs a little cleaning, but next purchase was a set of 17" x 7" Racing Hart Evo C5....

Just got OEM suspension components from onlinemazdaparts.com & finally will be installing MSP struts & springs. Those'll be going on within the next few days. From there, when finances allow, the over-haul that the steering's whining & bitchin about, F & R sway bars/braces, exhaust will be opened up w/high-flow cat & muffler, motor mounts, & the list goes on & on.

Glad to be a part of this community. Thanx ya'll for making this possible!!

good work on the headlights. i know when i out rings on mine i was skeptical about how they would look but they really do a good job of accenting the front of our cars.

Looking good! I'm not too sold on the headlights, maybe its just the yellow getting to me.

thanx!

i stumbled upon sylvania's headlight restoration kit & the lenses needed to be cleaned up (i recommend this kit to restore weathered/oxidized lenses....uber easy to do, & outcome was awesome....we'll see how good it really is in a few months of exposure & multiple washes)...i figured while i was doing it, i wanted to black out the housings anyways....then after 2 coats of the black & mocking it up, it looked boring to me....i stared at them for a few minutes & it just called out that those ring lines needed to be accented, color was no question....if u kno what i mean, those "lines" are already there....those'll be halos, when she gets HID & projectors

Flash5 if i had my choice, the P5 would be all black like yours, & with subtle hits of accent colors, MMM! sexay

at first i wasnt the biggest fan of the yellowness of the whole car, but it has absolutely grown on me....the days comin that she'll need a new paint job, but it might stay yellow....the jeep's the black beast

yea? from da 2o3?.....i have the same feelings about all yellow cars & still do, but for some reason, & to each their own, but to me it just suits the p5 well

although that flame red.....ouch, another color ive never liked for cars.....but the p5 pulls it off......especially red on black, tssss

samlct, just saw ur post in the "ct members" thread.....are u the blue p5? on the west side?
