I'm moving across the country again, with my dog, my 02 P5 auto with 125K miles on the clock, and a bunch of stuff. If I can pull one of the small Class 1 U-Haul trailers, I can fit the few pieces of furniture that are coming with me. I've read of people towing motorcycles, jetskis, and even 16' boats with their P5s on this forum. I can deal with driving slowly and gently, but I'm concerned in that the 4x8' U-Haul trailer weighs about 800lbs unloaded, and consensus seems to be to keep it under 1000lbs. What's the wisdom of the forum -- will it be fine if I ease my way along, or is towing 800lbs of trailer + 600lbs of stuff a recipe for a blown transmission?
