Clank, Pop, Knock..brake Noise Update:

My analysis:
1. struts are popped, replace them, they'll certainly make noise.
2. Mask off better the next time you paint your calipers, that paint got on everything!
3. Rotors need to be turned or better yet replaced. Looks like a nice lip developing on the outside.
4. Make sure you torque your lug nuts correctly so the wheel isn't loose and causing noise.
5. lube your brake caliper pins with high temp grease, they might be binding up when applying the brake.
6. Pads have a little life left but they are certainly worn. Stock pads are not that great but they last a long time so keep an eye on them.
7. Bleed/replace your brake fluid, sometimes air in the line can feel like a "bump or a pop" when applying the brake.
8. Get a manual or print out a detailed how to from this site on your projects, bring an experienced friend and have the right tools for the job. Do the work yourself to save money, but have a backup plan or experienced helper if you mess it all up.

awesome ! thanks for the help. I will use all of your comments to my benefit. And next thing is to get some tokcio blue and springs...is it ok to use these in the winter too? Or shoulD I save my odl springs?

You should only replace the springs if they are cracked or you want to lower your car. Stock springs will work on the tokico blue struts. If you get with aftermarket springs, you will need 4 struts.

I have Eibach springs and I like putting my stocks back on for winter. The extra inch of clearance makes a difference when there's more than an inch of snow and ice on the ground
