Circuit's 03.5 Protege5

Not much done today. Got all the brackets bolted back to the trans and move it to the side. Its ready to go back on after I get new axle seals and TOB boot.

Some new goodies are ready to go on once the motor goes back together. Newly PC'd valve cover, 505Zoom crank pulley, Project-G oil cap and dip stick handle

Got a moving blanket to throw on the roof so I can make more space by putting the bumper on the roof *:icon_lol:

Only had a few minutes today so I mounted the bracket for the Blox oil filter relocation fitting...

Also, Hung (funkaliscious21) got his car back from signature sound with the engine bay totally re-done. Looks pretty good. Just needs a little work and a tune and should be over 300 whp.

Flipped the oil filter bracket around and got it fully bolted up with lock washers, etc.

Got some panels cut out of ABS plastic to delete the holes left by the AC and windshield wiper motor removal.

Wiper motor panel is stupid and not a normal shape AT ALL.

PS reservoir all mounted up, again with CR3 washers and bolts (there is a copy of the plate on the inside of the car, sandwiching the firewall with dynamat on both pieces to seal against leaks)

Current state of the bay... need to drop the motor back in to tailor all the wiring and then pull everything back out to paint the bay. Also need to figure out where to mount the PRV for the DocB oil system and get everything done to the motor (oil pump, new pan, flywheel and clutch, etc.)

Got 1/3 of the way through pulling stuff to paint the bay and lost motivation LOL. Will get the bay painted next weekend.

Had a couple large CR3 bolts with washers. They fit the clutch slave cylinder bracket perfectly...

Got the bay ready for paint. Everything's removed or masked off. Tomorrow will be light sanding with 1000 grit, vacuum, and wipe down with degreaser and then paint!

That sounds like wwaaaaayyyy too much work. Haha. I like to stick to my "keep the hood closed at all times" policy in public.

Glad to see the dedication tho.

Man... I wish our cars up north were that clean. Instead of spending money on performance upgrades, we have to spend on rust repair and preventive measures against it.

But you guys can get skylines way easier than we can lol

but when skylines become as common as civics it's no longer as fun, a rust free protege is much nice IMO.

also please paint that shiny oil filter bracket it looks way out of place.
