I installed a CAI on my 6i, ever since the check engine light has been on, the codes were ran and it said the car was running too lean at idle and that the air/fuel ratio was too rich? Would the CAI be the issue? If so is this doing more damage than good to my engine?

sounds like air leak to me.
check all joints, couplers and clamps like bova mentioned.
dont think its an air straightening issue since MS3/MZ3 are intakes have much more bends than 6.

clean MAF while ur at it.
make sure to reset your ECU after all this.

Ok, while I haven't had time to check my clamps, I switched. From using 87 octave to 93 octave gas, since I only have a 6i that's what I figured was ok to use,but since then my light hasgone off as iv worked my way through this tank. I am going to keep my eye on the light, maybe it was an easy fix? Ill check my clamps when I clean my filter sometime in the future lol

well technically yes, 6i should have no problems running 87.
running better octone, will temporarily help, but the CEL will come back... pending the real issue isnt solved.
