i can't remember how to spell this act...mengunson act for warranty and check the techincal mechanic (something) to see if you have common problem once you get a diagnostic reading. go to a garage first and ask them to diagnos it. let them tell you what's the reading. ask if you can take it to the dealer for warranty work and if the modification could possibly void the warranty. btw, they can tell how many times you reset the battery. i was shown the diagnistic reader thingie. it was amazing. it even shows how you drive, rpm behavior, speed behavior, etc. check your warranty paper work as well. it has fine print. read it. check your deductible as well. if it is under factory warranty it's one story, if it's under extended warranty, it's another story (engine repair is usually still covered). fyi, i did this and took it for extended warranty repair on an O2 sensor. it was completely free even w/ intake & ground wiring. just do your research and keep asking around and if you do take it in for warranty work; be prepared to make a valid claim that the intake did not make the check engine light turn on. fyi, you may run into a problem because you ran the car so long w/ the engine light on between CA and NV. good luck. peace out
