#4 Laser Blue Mica MP3
I just bought a laser blue mica MP3 with the begi stage one turbo kit. Also has indigo flywheel, short throw, and ACT Clutch. Just noticed that check engine light is on while driving it home. All i know is that one cat is removed where the downpipe from the turbo is now. other one is still on. Is this one missing cat the cause? PLEASE HELP ME since i'm slowly learning about the MP3. P.S. I HATE THE DAMN CLUNKING AND SQUEEKING!, but i love everything else about the car! --Chris

goto an autozone and get it scanned, BUT

if there are no cats between your oxygen sensors that would be the CEL.

also, are you still under warranty? if so, there is a fix for the clunk and front bushings too

Thanx guys for the quick reply. I took it to my mechanic today and 2 codes came up. One for the missing cat, and another for the idle speed too high. The previous owner did tell me that the lightweight flywheel cause the car to bog down alot at low rpm so he turned to up a little to around 1,000. So i just have to put that cat back where the downpipe is, and turn the idle speed down a little and i'm set. How hard is it to turn the idle down, and how should i go about doing it? --Chris

Try the CEL fix in the "How To" area, it works! I have a high flow cat and I got a code, I did that fix and have yet to get one since.
