cheapest gas in your area....

Just paid $4.27 for 93 in the Metro Detroit area

I'm always skeptical about "just add this to your gas tank and everything will be better!" products. Personally the only thing that has been in my gas tank is BP's Amaco Ultimate.

Quit whining about gas prices until you're paying $5.30 a gallon for premium.

No offense. You've got some of the cheapest oil in the world in the US.

Ok, give us until Winter when they pull the heating oil inflation bullcrap and premium will be $5.30 a gallon.

just wait till upcoming major hurricanes hit one of the off shore oil line yay!~
$6 a gallon !!

I personally wasn't whining about gas prices or I wouldn't be driving the car I am. When OPEC countries are paying $.75 a gallon and gas prices no longer follow the fluctuating price of a barrel but keep being raised due to skepticism on the condition of the US economy is just annoying. I know there are many places with higher gas prices and a lot of that is due to taxation. By the time I'm paying $5.30 a gallon you will just say stop whining because your paying $6.30 (assuming current trends continue). The point isn't who is paying more or less for gas its about trying to save a few cents in your area.

Haven't bought gas since last week @ $4/gal. By now it's probably $4.05? Won't know 'til the weekend. This area used to be one of the highest in the southeast, but lately it's been lagging behind the national average.

Gas prices around my house are not up to $5, yet, but they’re getting there... $4.57.

There's a few little things you can do...

1. I started taking the train, reducing my driving by over 900 miles per month.

2. Got rid of my grand prix which got 18mpg, and picked up a 1.6l Protege getting 31+ mpg,

3. More walking, more bike riding, every bit helps.

The sad part is, there's only so much you can do to save on gas, while its prices just keep going up and up.

I guess the best way to beat gas prices... all prices for that matter, is to get a better paying job. I'm a year away from graduating from UIC. Hopefully I'll be able to start earning enough to where I won't have to make sacrifices to save a few bucks at the pump.

4.20 for 87 a couple days ago...

down in pacific beach, (a little beach town near san diego) gas was 4.52 for 87. and that was on saturday. by now its probably up to 4.60

Jeez, you guys are lucky. I just payed $4.62 for Premium here in Redmond.

High prices

91 octane is $4.87 by my house.

'Mdavis' the ad is BS. California reformulates their fuel not for more power but for the characteristics of the exhaust. I haven't checked lately however, a few years ago I would get better mileage out of CA probably because there was more fuel and less additives.

I agree with 'happy and angry' about how cheap gas prices are in the US. From a US citizen's point of view I would like to see higher fuel taxes. It would be an easy way to cut the deficit and maybe cure a few of society's ills.

The best way I've found to save on fuel costs? Live close to work/shopping. My commute is 5 miles each way.
