CHEAP: Rear Lower tie bar on the CHEAP

Looking around for tie bars lead me to this:

First time seeing it. Looks.... interesting.

EDIT: A little more research shows that a few MZ3 owners have picked this up. I wish the bar for the 2 didn't have the curves.

It looks like it's probably stamped from a flat piece, which makes me doubt whether it's stiff enough to actually do much of anything.

i find this thread fascinating, because with just a little ingenuity, an inexpensive option was found for a beneficial modification. kudos!

the end plates look flimsy.

Looks cool. I'll save some cash and buy the CorkSport front strut bar, instead.

This actually inspired me to make my own. Free is good. I make a few of them and compare them to one another. I have no real access to free aluminium, but lots of steel to choose from. I am currently in the process of making one with a solid 7/8" bar. Gonna have it finished quite soon I think.
