Chattering coming from transmission

So at an idle I don't hear any noise but when I take off I hear a click when releasing the pedal and when cruising at a constant speed I hear a chatter but when I go from cruising to WOT the noise goes away. What is it?

Clutch chatter would only be with the clutch depressed... If you hear a click when releasing the pedal... could be a bad slave cylinder or throwout bearing.

You mean clutch pedal depressed? No... Clutch chatter is essentially the disc slipping against the flywheel and is more often heard and felt when first taking off when under load.

Mainly I was responding to the chatter going on as he was cruising which could not happen...

I meant to say as it is engaging! But however the 3 puck clutch I just replaced was so thin and chattery that at times with the clutch depressed all the way... there was ebough chatter to make contact with the flywheel and bog the motor. If you are getting clutch chatter with the stock clutch... the disk is either worn and extremely thin or its operator error!

Well I can tell you it's not operator error it's an exedy stage 1

If you hear chatter while your cruising its definately not clutch chatter... if it was that bad it would be slipping

If I stay at a constant speed it makes a chattering noise it sound like tin but when I am getting into it no noise

Are you sure it's coming from the transmission?

I think so cause when I let out the clutch slowly you can hear it

Okay if its coming from the transmission which hopefully its not... you should be able to tell the difference in sound being dependant on gear rpm. Something could be coming in contact with the axle or cv or even rotor (dust shield). Really this doesn't sound like something I would put off checking out! You really need to eliminate the simple things first with a visual with a flashlight under the car jacked up... check motor mount, tranny mount, left and right axles and halfshaft, look for leaks around the slave cylinder on the front of the tranny.

I looked under the car no leaks nothing is touching the cv shafts but when my buddy looked at it he said he things its coming from inside the bell housing this only occurs after I have driven the car a little bit then the sound comes out

No it doesn't go away and the car must be moving for it to make the sound
