changing priorities on paired phones?

I have two phones paired in the 2008 GT CX-9 but it always defaults to the wrong one, and I have to go in manually change the phone to the active one. Is there a way to change the priority without uninstalling/cancelling one of them?

Just have the other phone turn off BT if connecting to CX9 is not desired but it has higher priority.
I see no other way. Removing the pairing would be even more troublesome.

I may be wrong, but I believe it always defaults to the first phone installed ~ if both phones are present. Since my wife is the primary driver on the CX, what I did was to install my phone first. So whenever I'm driving it (with or without her in the car), mine would come up connected first.

That's what I meant exactly.
Say, your phone is A (priority #1), your wife's is B (priority #2).
When both A and B are present, the A is connected to. If A is not, then B is connected to (you can connect up to 7 phones, I believe). The BT tries to connect to them starting from priority 1 down to 7.
Therefore, if both A and B are present, and you want B to be connected, the only way is to turn off BT on the phone A so that CX9 will give up on it and try to connect to B.

This is what the manual implies. I only have 1 phone connected to my CX9. No way I can try it quickly. Maybe someone else can shed more lights on this.

You can also tell it to temp override the connected phone.

For example, if my wife gets in the pax seat first, then I get in the driver seat, it has already connected to her phone. I then use voice activation to tell it to change (override) to my phone.

Priority is working on my old 07 CX-9.
However, both 2010 3 and CX-9 won't work in term of Priority. I don't know why. I have to manually change the connection to each phone.
