I've been wanting a CF hood for the longest time but I've read things that make me think it's kinda high maintenance. Can anyone tell me the pros and cons of a CF hood - maintenance wise? Do you need to have a car cover? What happens if you don't? Will the sun blanch it out or something? Does it require any other sort of special care? What about nicks? My car's already beat up in the front from projectile road gravel. Thanks, your advice is most appreciated! :D

Buy a good quality hood and you'll have no problems.......
buy a cheap one????? hey you saved yourself some bucks, tightwad.

Which one did you get mp3?

A CF hood is maintained like a stock. Don't neglect it when you wax it. If there's scratches, then use a polish like meguiars or mothers and you should be good. Other than that, you shouldn't have a problem with maintenance. The nicks aren't as easy to see, so same thing like scratches just use a polish and you'll be alright. Buy a good hood and you'll be okay.

Thanks you guys, I really appreciate your help. Welp, I've made my decision now for the money... unfortunately harder to come by!!! (doh)

with carbon fiber if the nicks get bad enough just lightly sand and have it cleared and it will look as good as new
