Center console felt mat

I have a 08 MS3. I don't seem to have a felt mat in the center console. I have one that sits in the upper lid (where you can keep an AUX device).

Can someone tell me if their MS3 car came with one.

hmmm...i have the upper one too, but not the lower one as it's depicted in that picture. and i got mine new

What do you need that for, that covers the Air bag control unit. its under the console.

i remember seeing that diagram before and then looked and was like "wtf i dont have that s***!"

I don't have it either, I thnk it protects/covers the 2 screws at the bottom of the console that bolt it to the body. It just looks like it covers that. But you could probably cut some felt anyways for it

to me, it seems silly that they didnt put something at the bottom to cover up those screws and also deaden the sound of loose change etc moving around.

The diagram makes it seems as if it is in the storage box. I guess I can't see why they would call it a storage box mat, if it sat underneith the console.
