CEL on after 590 miles

TMI, sadly now I see something in recent post about losing a house.

Regardless after sifting through all this stuff, it's not clear if all our 2.0L CX-5's will need the reflash or what (not that a reflash is a big deal)...?
 
Quick update;

just had my vehicle fixed/reflashed by dealer with an engineer from mazda n.a. Time will tell.

Very sorry to hear about your misfortunes. Hopefully this resolves the issue.
I can definitely see the car remaining below operating temp causing some fuel efficiency issues. The ECU references, I believe, different timing and fueling at varying engine temp. thresholds.
FWIW, I drove my Speed6 for an extended period of miles with a stuck tstat before I got around to fixing it and noticed no ill effects.
Kind of silly the issue arises simply from not presetting enough time for the ECT to reach a predetermined threshold...
