I am trying to put together a cali legal (able to pass smog) exhaust. I am currently running a 3" turbo back with no cats (clearly not legal).

I bought a stock s pipe and a 2.5" sls midpipe w/ a high flow cat. I want a 2.5" catback to match up with the sls midpipe. The only brand i can find that still makes catbacks for our car, is magnaflow. But magnaflow makes a 2.25"... It seems like everyone who used to make catbacks for our car is either out of business or they dont make them anymore.

Does anyone have any ideas on this??? will the NA type Megan exhaust work?

corksport makes one and you can specify a high flow cat to be installed on their website.

isnt the corksport a j-pipe back? I dont really want to pay for cats again... if i dont have too.

damn, corksport doesnt ship to cali??? i just moved here from texas. Dang, that sucks.

I called and asked if theyre exhausts are smog legal and they said they dont even ship to ca.

just make friends with someone in oregon or somthing, drive up, pick it up, install the stocker to pass smog.

I wish i had the stocker. Or else i would do that. Is the corksport a catback? it looks like it mounts to the s-pipe...

Mounts from jpipe back. Deletes midpipe I believe.

You won't pass emissions here in California with a high flow cat... You need your stock ones on there. California is the worst state to have a modded car as their smog rules are stricter than all the other states.

What if you just take it to an exhaust shop and have them make/bend up what you need to pass smog?

Yes ca emissions are really that bad.... Yes your best option to pass smog would be to have your stock setup, this means the 2 cats that originally came with the car.

I heard someone say that, in CA, you can't vent to atmosphere with a bov. Is that true?
