CarPlay and Android Auto don't work

I have a 2019 CX5 with firmware 74.00.230 NA. Car has the USB module for CP/AA and on the Infotainment system under devices it shows both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto but both are greyed out. When I try plugging in either Apple or Samsung phone I cant get either Carplay or AA to launch. I have tried using both Apple and Samsung cables and neither work.

Also when plugged neither phone will charge indicating to me that possibly the USB port is dead, But it will charge if plugged into the other port.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Replying to refresh the thread.
I’ve encountered the same issue recently in my 2020 6. Charges for a few seconds and is recognized and then stops charging and disappears from the devices screen. The cable checks good on the other USB port as well as the rear console ports.
Any thoughts on where to start looking are appreciated.
