How hard was it to remove the piece of the grill where the emblem sits?

Thinking about removing it entirely and putting up a mesh grill...

Is it just a matter of taking out the clips? Does it look decently flush with the clips out?

The grill is one piece, and you'd have to cut the portion of the grill out that holds the emblem. Find and buy one that has it already gone. These CF grills look amazing and I can't wait to get mine.
