car wax on my roof rack

Well you can use 3M Gen Purpose Adhesive Remover -- will dull the finish so you will have to use trim conditioner after or rub some peanut butter (yes, creamy not the chunky) over the area and it will take care of it

peanut butter works. i used a tooth brush and it came out pretty easily.

Ya I always do that ... gr. I use Goo Gone but be careful not to get this on your car paint!
I used Goo Gone to remove the adhesive left when I took off the stealership pinstriping with no problem. Of course, I washed my car right afterwards. It mentions no harm to paint on the bottle.

When I got wax on my roofrails, I just get some Amore All on a rag, and wipe it on carefully, as not to get it on the paint.

wow, the many uses of PB. it also gets off gum from your hair (most times) that vinyl thingie wears off fast if u r in the sun a lot. it works, but it's only a temp fix no matter how hard u rub. goo gone works good on your rug even w/ baked on gum! i wouldn't use it on the rack unless u r very careful. don't get it on the paint.

What about the trim detailer from Mothers... That stuff takes the wax off anything on my car and it's not bad for the paint, provided you don't leave it on too long.

Yeah I had good luck with peanut butter. I had to reapply after a week or so because the white spots came back.

That's why I switched to Zaino car wax. That stuff is so forgiving. It doesn't matter if you get it on the plastic or your windows. It buffs off so easily and doesn't leave residue. You can only get Zaino online.

or just rub it with your finger until your finger gets real hot. works everytime for me.

I see this almost everyday at work. Take some windex and a toothbrush, or better yet a small paint brush with the bristles cut off so there is only about an 1/8 inch of them left. Spray windex on and go over it with the brush, and simply wipe off. Its pretty easy.
