Car Insurance

OWW my ass hole just expanded. Progressive just told me $3,800 every 6 months!!! s***, I live in hillsborough county too the area with the stupid bitches driving ( not women just retards in general ).

progressive is a rip off. they over charge on premiums and rip u off when u have a total loss. and they hate paying out on cars that are modified

this might sound ridiculous but join the military or marry someone who is so you can become eligible to use USAA.

my father is and my car is in my name with my own policy thru them and i am at $1050 every six months w/ full coll and lia at $100k/$300k stacked coverage and a $250 deductable at the soon-to-be-age of 23.
after 7/9 it'll be $200 cheaper when my good student disc. goes into effect.
this is in hillsborough co. fl too.

if this don't work go with allstate if available, that is what my girl has on her rsx($490/6 mos. w/ full cov like mine). gieco and progressive just want your money and couldn't give 2 s**** about you or your soon-to-be msp. good luck man

USAA charges me $1200 every six months and Im almost 24.

Then again.....that ticket has something to do with it(doh).

No worries...I only have to wait another 75 years for it to drop off my record.

Well at this point I would LOVE to pay that much considering what I was quoted, I am willing to pay somewhere in the 3 grand territory for a year so theres gotta be somewhere, just called a bunch of insurance companies today, hopefully I'll find one tommarow so I can bring the car home.

FHP is getting really good man they nag my friend all the time on suncoast parkway. Anyone tried any of those radar detector / blocker deals..?

i here that! got a ticket 3/01 in my 96 dodge avenger and it should come off next year. damn FHP(piss)

LMAO!!

I got my last ticket in my 98 dodge avenger in 6/01. Stupid avengers(rant)

Fixed that by gettin a dakota r/t...then getting mah pumpkin chariot.

Well bad news, I was supposed to go pick up my black msp today when I got a call from my dad and told me that my car insurance would be $6500 a year for me under my own. So I need some help guys, I live in New Jersey, just turned 18, clean driving record, and am planning on either financing or taking out a loan to buy the car, but I need a good insurance company if anyone can help please PLEASE help!!!

YIKES!

Guess I won't complain about $1350 a year for insurance on my MSP. It was a shock to me after only paying $420 a year for my old vehicle which was paid for. (dropped collision after it was paid off)

Been with State Farm for the past 20 years, never had a claim <knocks on wood>. I use them for auto/life/home insurance.

Good luck in the insurance search.

shrug, i am driving a c230 mercedes benz at 16 years old and its a little bit less than 200 a month, thinking around 180.

that car is supercharged with more hp and costs more, too.

for sure you are getting gipped

i have (and had when i got the ticket) a whistler 1585 radar detector.... sad part is it doesn't help when they got those flukin speed traps and a damn airplane clocking people. I-75N right at the 574(MLK)overpass. went to court hoping to get dismissed and both cops showed up, the guy who pulled me over and the pilot of the plane...BEECHEZ all of them.

panda they got that "click it or ticket" thing going on till 6/15. don't know 'bout you but i am shaking in my nike's now. lol.

shockergrl i had a silver mist ES fully loaded with everything including problems. the only thing it lacked was speed lol.

i do miss it though, but I LOVE MY MAZDASPEED EVEN MORE!:D AGR#7 will appreciate that.

I miss the avenger only because my payments were about $250 cheaper then my truck and my speed.

Miss my truck because it had flowmaster on it and could be heard a block away.:D

Dam, I pay under 1k per year. Check Gieco.com

Once again I live in New Jersey thanks for the thought though. Gieco doesnt support new jersey, I have one last resort, all the quotes came back all in 5 grand and 6 grand territory per year, last resort: my dad is going to have to buy the car and have to be listed under the primary driver of the car, no big deal so what i dont get the credit for it, hopefully it will be a whole hell of a lot cheaper for insurance. Not like I'm buying a house anytime soon, I'll live knowing the car is under his name just cause I want the car so bad at this point. We'll find out tommarow how much it would cost under his name, I'll keep updating. Thanks for the help everyone.

Is there any reason why you can't just be on his policy? I bought a car and a motorcycle when I was 18 had had them on my Mom's policy though they were registered in my name. Since I was going to school they allowed it.

i don't know if you're in the services or a dependent (or feel like joining to get lower rates:p ), but if you are, try usaa. i am just over 1k/year for my mp3. registered in maine, live in maryland, clean record.

Nope dont think so just if it is too much but he pays $2500 a year for 3 cars one with full coverage so I would think that this wouldnt be that much, but we'll find out tommarow.

You could always buy the car and have your dad listed as the primary driver on the insurance, I don't think the insruance company gives a squat about who is on the loan. Then just pay him the difference.

I would try to get on your dad's policy too. You can have him buy the car in his name and you make the payments for both. Then when it's paid off transfer the title into your name and you should get a discount from your insurance for keeping the same company.

I did that with my dad's old Pathfinder and got a good rate on that. The I bought my Speed and got a discount for having two cars with State Farm. Now I pay about $1,200 every six months total for both cars.

whatever you do just make sure your name is on the title of the car. have your dad sign the first line and you sign the second. when you getting your loan, have your bank, mazdacredit, or whoever take the payments out of your account not your father's. wait a few years and do a change of ownership form and have you dad removed from the title. it might not show up on your credit report until you are the primary owner, but at least the next time you buy a car your financial institution has something to reference about your responsibility. good luck
