Car Insurance

whatever you do just make sure your name is on the title of the car. have your dad sign the first line and you sign the second. when you getting your loan, have your bank, mazdacredit, or whoever take the payments out of your account not your father's. wait a few years and do a change of ownership form and have you dad removed from the title. it might not show up on your credit report until you are the primary owner, but at least the next time you buy a car your financial institution has something to reference about your responsibility. good luck

Thanks I'll do that.

I dont have insurance...no one else in California does. (no)

I thought us Canadians had it bad up here. We don't have private insurance in BC but peeps always be bitchin' about goin' private. After hearing these horror stories I'll be the 1st one backing monopolies.

When I bought my MSP in late November the insurance companies didn't have my car classified yet so to be safe the insurance guy insured it as a $40K Can ($30ish US) car, and about 2 months later I got an additional bill for $200. All in All I pay approx $120 Can ($85 US) a month with full coverage and 2 mil liability.

I'm 24, no accidents (my fault), but I've racked up at least $4K in speeding tickets.

!!I'M F*CKIN LUCKY!!

Unfortuneately that type of system wouldn't work in the US...too much competition and different laws state to state...

USAA charges me $1200 every six months and Im almost 24.

Then again.....that ticket has something to do with it(doh).

No worries...I only have to wait another 75 years for it to drop off my record.

DAMMMMMNNNNNN!
Got an MSP and a SPEC V and we pay roughly $1400 a year. Plus, we get back a check from them. Actually are insurance went down when we got the MSP. I traded in my 2 door 2001 Impreza and it droped by like $6 a month.
And trust me both my husband's and my records are not clean of tickets!!!
