Car Insurance rate hike for cx7?

I just got my CX-7 a week ago. I had a 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid. My rate went up $38 for the year.
Please keep in mind that many companies offer discounts for unions, alumni associations, post-secondary schools, and through your bank.
I have a friend who was a pizza delivery driver part-time and hit a garage door. The damage to the door and his car was minimal but the homeowner went after his auto insurance; they said his car was used for business purposes and they would not cover the damages.

I did alot of insurance quotes before I decided on my next car after my major accident with my old car. I paid 140 a month for my 03 Civic SI which I guess they conidered a sports car due to the power to weight ratio I guess. when I got a quote for a new 07 SI I almost threw up 210 a month. so the civic was no option with the insurance being that high. I saw the cx7 and likes its size and I really like the fact that it was a 4 cylinder with a turbo for fun factor and it drove like a car.

CX7 quote sport was 110 and GT loaded was 118 a month .

I was worried my rate was gonna go up cause I totaled my civic and a Porche 911 but it didn't go up cause I had a clean record and I paid the surcharge for the ticket I recieved so I still have a clean record.

suprised 25 year old state farm driver from NJ

ps my rate is kinda low cause life insurance saves you about as much money as it cost to have it. so for life insuance and car insurance I pay around 160/month well worth it for peace of mind.

I'm guessing your fuel costs have gone up slightly as well.

I went from a 2006 Honda Civic Si ($83/month) to the 2007 Mazda CX-7 ($60/month). I am 30, married, and we have all of our insurance under one company so there are several discounts.

Our insurance agent said that the CX-7 is much lower due to all of the standard safety features (VSC, TC, AWD, airbags, etc.) I was worried that the turbo might raise rates but not at all :)

Yeah, I keep thinking that if I lived anywhere else other than a place that keeps jockying for 1st or 2nd place in stolen vehicles and uninsured motorists I'd be paying even less.

Mine went down by .06

I had a 2001 Dodge stratus coupe. I'm wondering if I was totally being ***** on the other vehicle, or am I underpaying for this vehicle. Either way. I was happy.

Insurance Rates

We went from a '04 Chrysler Pacifica AWD to the Cx7 AWD and my insurance went up $19.00 for the year. Full coverage/Towing/Rental/Roadside assistance is $865.00 with Liberty Mutual. Granted I have homeowner and two other vehicles with them but it's still a lot less them some of the other quotes.

AWMustang... just wonderin where you got your "zoom, zoom" sticker on your 3rd brake light? sounds cute.

Mazda sent it to me in a welcome packet a month or 2 after I got the car.

A bunch of other people have gotten them as well... Otherwise I'm sure they are available for purchase somewhere on the internet.

On the back. It's meant to be placed on the exterior of the car.

It's a nice vinyl graphic. It has survived a winter and many automatic car washes.

If you do put it on your 3rd brake like, pay attention to the groove on the lower portion. A couple of my letters fell into that, but they seem to be holding just fine.

Yippee! (yippy) I just got my "zoom zoom" sticker from Mazda yesterday in the "welcome book". I think I am gonna steal AWMustang's idea and put it on the 3rd brake light. Rock On!!(headbang)

State Farm here is SW Florida. Was paying $322.xx per 6 months for a 2000 Subaru Forester S. Now paying 320.xx for my 2007 CX7. My insurance actually stayed about the same. Full coverage, no accidents in 20 years, no moving violations in 7 years. Took a drivers safety course which cost me $12 and 8 hours study which lowered my collision by ~ 15%. Single driver only and no kids.
