Can't find how to, on...

It's really simple... under the radiator towards the middle of the engine there's a mount. It has one bolt that is horizontal and two studs with nuts on the bottom that are vertical. (the nuts are painted orange) Loosen (but dont remove) the horizontal one first. Then take out the bottom two nuts. Then go back and take out the horizontal one.
To put the new one in slide it in and put the horizontal one in first and finger tighten it. Then put the bottom two nuts on then tighten the horizontal ones and then tighten up the bottom ones.
If you don't have an impact wrench and an air compressor get a breaker bar (or make a ghetto one by slipping a piece of pvc pipe over your rachet).

you don't need any supports on the engine (to do the front mount).. the other motor mounts hold it in place fine for the 5 minutes it takes to do the swap..

and ONRAILS what did you mean by "swap the wrong one" ?? if you're trying to figure which motor mount is the front motor mount, it's the one on the right side in this pic (with the two bolts on the bottom):

When I ordered my motor mount from Chris he said that the front motor mount doesn't do much of holding the engine up. It just keeps it from rocking back and forth.

cool... thanks wiggles, seems easy enough.

yea it is real east I don't even jack up the car when i do it, it is a 17mm bolt in the middle it should only take 10-15 mins to do it

Anyone have a pic of the old or new mount installed?

(2thumbs)
the two pics of the stock motor mount are (trying) to display how soft and flexible they are.

Everyone said that you need a huge extension to get at the front mount, but I just jacked up the front of the car & took off the plastic panel underneath the engine on the driver side. I was able to use my 1/2" drive with just a 2" extension & it worked perfectly. It took me about 30 minutes (I take longer than everyone says the first time I do anything) because I had to jack up the motor too to get the bolt to go through after I put the AWR mount in.

yea you don't have to take any of that to get do it, i get the 17mm bolt out from the top and the 2 from the bottom

I didn't want to risk stripping anything so I disconnected the bottom IC pipe so I could fit an impact wrench on the horizontal nut. Air tools are the shizzle!

You are going to love how the car drives when you're done, but the initial sound & vibration really startles you the first time you start the car after the install. :D

I disconnected my IC pipe too, but with the bottom plastic panel off, there is really no need. Air tools & impact wrenchs aren't necessary if you just do everything from the bottom.

I swear up and down that my exhaust note changed a little after putting in the motor mount, but my brother assured me that I'm just crazy and that I'm hearing things. (crazy)

i have to agree with you.. my car sounded different (deeper) afterwards as well.. i'm sure it's got something to do with the slight vibration and something resonating.. i think it sounds great..

also, i was worried about installing it after reading others say they can't stand the extra vibration, but for me, it's such a slight difference, you can barely feel any vibration.. i wonder what they were talking about??

We're in the exact same ballpark. I think the exhaust sounds better too, I can really notice it around 3-4k rpms. I'm gonna go tell my brother that I'm not just hearing things now haha.
The vibration didn't even phase me. I felt it, but I was really expecting more. And it's not a my-car-is-falling-apart vibration, it just firms things up a bit.
